Hospice and palliative care services are for patients with a wide-range of life-limiting illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, lung disease, neurological disorders, AIDS and Alzheimer’s disease and many other diagnoses.   Generally speaking someone would have a life expectancy of months, not years and a desire to promote quality of life remaining through an emphasis on comfort care.
