At any time during a life-limiting illness, it is appropriate to discuss all care options, including hospice and palliative home care. You and your family may choose to discuss goals and appropriate services with your physician, other healthcare professionals, clergy and/or friends. The decision belongs to you and your loved ones.   Having an advanced directive and talking to your family about your wishes for end-of-life care is recommended.
