Palliative Care is a type of care provided as an option to patients who have a life threatening illness and wish to pursue active medical treatments. Most major insurances (including Medicare and Medicaid) cover all hospice services including durable medical equipment and all illness-related medications. Practically all private insurance policies have a hospice benefit.  Your insurance company will determine your level of coverage.
